Easter in the Valley

Why is Easter such a fantastic time to visit the Hunter Valley?

Well, for one the temperature is usually perfect! Days average in the mid 20s and nights bracingly cool – just cool enough to snuggle under the doona and enjoy the absolute peace and quiet. If it’s a warmer Autumn, it can still be fun to take a dip in our pool. If it rains there’s plenty of indoor activities in the Hunter to keep you busy – wine tasting and fine dining can be enjoyed in any weather!

The four day Easter break gives you ample time to de-stress, letting go of the tensions of city life. Unpack, unwind and settle in for days of work-free relaxation. Take the time to read a book, go for a stroll or reconnect with your family or holiday friends over a game of table tennis or a board game in our lounge/games room. Use our gourmet kitchen to cook up a storm and enjoy taking time over your meal. Or just have a good old Easter egg hunt and gorge yourself on chocolate eggs.

Every Easter, thousands flock to the Hunter Valley for a restorative break. Fewer go to Broke, which means you don’t have to take on the tour buses and crowds in this part of the valley. Smaller, boutique vineyards, exquisite cellar doors with friendly local staff. All part of the experience. There’s even a great cellar door just across the road. Even I can walk that far!

Currently the Little House of Red is still available for Easter booking. Three night minimum for 8-10 people. Book through Airbnb.
